Quality Texas Foundation Names St. Joseph as 2007 Texas Award for Performance Excellence Recipient
The Quality Texas Foundation, the administrator of Texas' premier annual performance excellence award, announced that St. Joseph Health System has been selected as a recipient of the 2007 Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE). SJHS is one of three state-wide award recipients for 2007 and is the first organization in the Brazos Valley to receive the Award since its inception in 1993. (more)

St. Joseph Regional Health Center Receives Chest Pain Center Accreditation
St. Joseph Regional Health Center joined an exclusive group of accredited hospitals whose goal is to teach the public to recognize and react to the early symptoms of a possible heart attack, reduce the time that it takes to receive cardiac treatment, and increase the accuracy and effectiveness of that treatment. Sibling Tour of the Hospital
This tour is specially designed for the siblings of the newborn baby. This is a fun and interactive day of "hiking" where siblings can learn what to expect when the new baby comes home and how to be a great big brother or big sister. (more)

Texas Brain and Spine Institute Announced
A collaborative effort between doctors, clinicians, scientists and institutions, all focused on the research and care of neurological disorders, was unveiled today as the Texas Brain and Spine Institute.

The TBSI is a multidisciplinary collaboration between St. Joseph Regional Health Center, a group of more than 20 neuroscience specialists, and the neuroscience research programs at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. (more)

St. Joseph Health System announces Orthopedic Navigation System
St. Joseph Regional Health Center leadership announced Thursday that they have acquired a new surgical navigation system for their orthopedics program, the first of its kind in the region. (more)

Southern Living Names St. Joseph Foundation as Charity for 2006 Idea House at Traditions

SJRHC Launches Regions Most Advanced MRI
St. Joseph Regional Health Center has completed installation of a revolutionary new MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner to enable radiologists to quickly obtain high-resolution images, helping physicians to diagnose and treat patients more effectively. The high-resolution system - a new Siemens Magnetom Avanto - is the most advanced MRI in the region. (more)

Inaugural Chloé Fiesta Fundraiser

The Catholic community and people all over the world were saddened on Saturday when Pope John Paul II died at age 84. During his 26 years of leading the Catholic Church, the pope traveled all over the world and made several stops in the United States including a visit in 1987.(more)
