Why is an EEG done?

An EEG is requested by a physician when a person is being evaluated for a number of symptoms including but not limited to:

  • Behavior Disorders
  • Confusion
  • Dizziness
  • Fainting
  • Forgetfulness
  • Headache
  • Memory Loss
  • Mood Disturbance
  • Periods of Altered or Loss of Consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Selected Sleep Disorders
  • Smelling unusual odors
  • Staring Spells
