Scope of Care

The Cardiopulmonary Department will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and educational services to include the following: oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication treatments, intermittent positive pressure breathing, chest physical therapy, bland aerosol administration, postural drainage, breathing exercises, suctioning, mechanical ventilation, continuous positive airway pressure, arterial blood gas acquisition and analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function testing, transcutaneous oxygen/carbon dioxide monitoring, hyperbaric oxygen, emergent airway care, electrocardiography, regular and thallium stress testing, arterial doppler vascular evaluation, 24 and 48 hour holter monitoring, diagnostic polysomnography for sleep disorders, electroencephalography, intra-aortic balloon pump management, smoking cessation program, and patient education.
