John Hughson, MHA Administrator John Hughson was recently named the Burleson St. Joseph Health Center (BSJHC) Administrator. Hughson returns to the Brazos Valley from Junction, Texas, a town northwest of Fredericksburg, where he served as administrator at the 15-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH), Kimble Hospital. Prior to Kimble, Hughson spent three years in San Antonio as the Division Director of Contracting for HCA Shared Services, a company that provides financial, supply chain, payroll and HR services for hospitals and locally managed facilities. No stranger to St. Joseph, Hughson previously worked in the Laboratory and Clinical Resource Management offices at St. Joseph Regional Health Center, in Bryan. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and his Master of Arts in Health Administration from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center.
Nickie Bright, RN Director of Nurses Nickie Bright joined Burleson St. Joseph in 2009. She comes to us with 19 years of nursing experience. She previously held the position of Director of Nursing at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital in Brady, Texas, where she was responsible for managing a large full-time staff at a 25-bed hospital. While there, she developed outpatient Coumadin Clinic which now serves over ninety patients, drafted a hospital Emergency Operations Plan, and significantly reduced turnover and increased employee morale. Prior to that position, Bright held several nursing positions in Austin area clinics and hospitals. She received her nursing degree from Houston Community College and is currently pursuing her completion of a BA in Psychology. Certifications include TNCC, ACLS, PALS and ITLS.
