What can a Registered Dietitian do for you?
The important role nutrition plays in managing certain diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterold and obesity can be a critical component to the successful treatment of these diseases. However, providing patients with the nutritional components of care necessary to manage such conditions can be a timely task for physicians. A visit to the registered dietitian can assist you and your physician in managing the nutitional components of treatment. The dietitian possesses the knowledge and training necessary to help patients develop appropriate eating patterns to improve the outcome of a medical condition. By personalizing dietary recommendations and designing a tailored meal pattern, patients will not only enjoy their eating plan more, but can also expect greater compliance.
