Dr. Ravanbakhsh attended the University of Illinois at Champaign – Urbana, and went on to receive a medical degree at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified and was inducted as a Fellow by the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons for her commitment to continuing education in Urologic surgery. She practiced at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she was the Urology Residency Deputy Program Director. She continues to be involved in academics locally, as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery with Texas A+M College of Medicine.
The Ravanbakhsh family relocated to Bryan from Chicago in 2008. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families during the course of their care.
Dr. Ravanbakhsh treats patients for kidney conditions, kidney stones, cancers of the prostate, bladder and kidney, male and female urological problems. Dr. Ravanbakhsh thoroughly enjoys the warmer Texas weather, especially in spring and fall. She was initially attracted to St. Joseph because of the system’s commitment to service and excellent care for all. She is proud to work at St. Joseph Regional, a multi-specialty hospital where physicians work together to provide cohesive and exceptional care. Dr. Ravanbakhsh is happily married with two children. When she’s not treating patients, she loves spending time with her family and playing with her two young children.
