St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center "Improving Independence One Step At A Time"
St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center opened in November of 1997 and is the only free-standing CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Center in the Brazos Valley and surrounding communities. Inpatient rehabilitation is a specialized service that offers patients recovering from illness or injury in intense interdisciplinary process comprised of a team of clinicians to promote independence, quality of life and return to a safe and fulfilling lifestyle in the home setting. In simple terms, inpatient rehabilitation is designed to help you return home at your highest level of independence. In addition to treating the patient we also have a strong focus on family involvement and education to facilitate your return home.
Therapy Services available through St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, and aquatherapy.
While therapy services are offered in other health settings such as a skilled nursing facility (SNF)/nursing home; the inpatient rehab unit differentiates itself by being the only level of care that offers the following:
Close medical supervision by a specialized physician
24 hour specialized rehab nursing
Interdisciplinary team approach
Intensive therapy services -- 3 hours per day at least 5 days per week
