A wonderful place to start or continue your family, St. Joseph provides complete labor and delivery services!

In response to our communities' growing need for a larger and better childbirth center, St. Joseph Health System has been hard at work over the last two years renovating the Women's Center at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Now complete, the center is a state-of-the-art enhancement offering enhanced convenience and comfort for families as well as additional services for patients through an advanced neonatal care unit.

The 38,800 sq. ft. renovation of our Women's Center rivals even the largest of sophisticated urban hospitals. Each Post-Partum room has a guest bed available allowing the father or family member to remain with their loved ones. Private telephones, upgraded televisions, music, and internet access offer these families first class accommodations during their stay in our Women's Center.

For every woman, each pregnancy is unique. St. Joseph Women's Center offers services and facilities to accommodate various levels of prenatal and post-partum care. St. Joseph Women's Center houses:

• 3 Long-Term Ante-Partum Rooms
• 11 Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDR) Rooms
• 2 C-Section Surgery Suites
• 34 Private Post-Partum Rooms

Newborns come in all shapes and sizes, each with different levels of need. The Ministry of Sylvania Franciscan Health, physicians, and team members of St. Joseph know that each newborn requires the utmost care and concern. St. Joseph will welcome these precious infants into the world with two Well Baby Nurseries as well as an advanced critical care nursery.

With the availability of two triage rooms, we are able to assess and reassure expectant mothers prior to admission. The renovation includes two lactation rooms for mothers of critically ill babies, allowing them to provide breast milk for their newborns. The advanced care unit has a parent sleep room available that will allow families to room with their baby, making the transition from intensive care to home much easier.

When it comes to improving facilities and equipment, philanthropy can make the difference between adequate and excellent. Many generous donors have contributed directly through St. Joseph Foundation and also through local organizations such as Children's Miracle Network of the Brazos Valley.
