Imaging Services

Women's Imaging includes complete imaging services in digital mammography, stereotactic mammography, and bone densitometry.

St. Joseph Women's Services offers a wide scope of breast health services for women, including digital mammograms. We have digital mammography services available in both our Bryan and College Station diagnostic locations.

Digital mammography uses essentially the same mammography system as conventional mammography, but the system is equipped with a digital receptor and a computer instead of a film cassette. With digital view mammography, images are acquired digitally and displayed immediately on the system monitor, providing a clearer and easier to read view for physicians. 

The Women's Diagnostic Services Department located in Suite 325 of St. Joseph Professional Building, performs both diagnostic and screening mammograms and all invasive procedures relating to the Breast, i.e. Stereotatic breast biopsy, needle localizations, and galactograms. The Women's Diagnostic Services at our Outpatient Diagostic Center in College Station performs screening mammograms.  

Breast education is an essential part of our practice. Not only for our patients on an individual basis, but also for community groups. If you would like to have a member of our staff speak to your group on mammography, self breast exam, or osteoporisis please contact our office.
