How to Become a Volunteer
Volunteer Services Department of CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan oversees all the volunteer programs in Bryan and College Station. Please review the options below to select the appropriate application to complete. All applications require you to submit a reference letter (instructions are provided when you complete your application).
Once you submit your application, it will be transmitted directly to Volunteer Services for review. If you do not have access to a computer, there are computers available on the third floor of the main hospital in the Labor & Delivery waiting room of CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital.
Adult Volunteer Application - Adults (non-students) volunteering at the main hospital, Rehab Center, Cancer Center or College Station locations in any of our available assignments.
College Volunteer Application – college students/those who are pursing educational goals in health related careers or individuals wanting to give back to our community. This program runs by the semester with new orientations offered at the beginning of each semester. Space fills up quickly so apply early. Applications require you to submit a reference letter (how to submit provided with the application). Deadlines for submission of application and reference letter are November 10th for spring semester, April 10th for summer semester and July 10th for fall semester. Applications and reference letters received after those dates are moved to the next semester.
Therapy (Physical, Occupational & Speech) Volunteer Application - Adults/students interested in obtaining observation/shadowing hours in physical, occupational and/or speech therapy.
Caring Canines Application – Pet Therapy program for adults who have a dog who is has passed an animal screening required for pet therapy/visitation programs. Please review complete requirements by going to this link.
Nightingale Application - RN Volunteer Program for retired or inactive nurses who would like to use their professional expertise by providing compassionate care to patients and their families.
Friends of CHI St. Joseph Health Manor of Bryan Application - Individuals and group members interested in helping with games, visitation and activities at CHI St. Joseph Health Manor in Bryan.
