Emergency Services

St. Joseph is recognized as the region's leader in Emergency Services, having received the first designation as an accredited Chest Pain Center and first as a Primary Stroke Center in the region. Anchored by the St. Joseph Regional Health Center's Emergency Center in Bryan, Texas the six St. Joseph emergency centers located in the Brazos Valley serves the needs to more than 280,000 residents across more than 9 counties. We care for more emergency and trauma cases, including stroke and heart attack, that any other hospital facility in the region.

A team of board-certified emergency physicians, trauma and orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists and other specialists are available to provide diagnosis and immediate treatment of life-threatening injuries seven days a week, 24 hours a day. St. Joseph Regional Health Center has the most comprehensive availability of specialists in the region.

The SJRHC is a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, the highest level trauma center in the region, and is the only center in the region staffed with Board Certified Emergency Physicians 24 hours a day. St. Joseph has on-site St. Joseph AirMedical helicopter transport services to meet the needs of our large service area.

As we all know life is unpredictable, but you can rely on St. Joseph to be ready when you need us. At St. Joseph, in addition to our specialized medical departments and innovative services and research, our emergency center is equipped to handle most any emergency situation. St. Joseph Regional Health Center provides full emergency services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
